About

Empowering Young Women. Strengthening Families. Transforming Futures.

Dare to Care is a prevention and empowerment program for young women ages 14 to 24. We provide a safe, supportive space where healing begins, confidence grows, and leadership is cultivated. Through mentorship, character development, and family engagement, we equip young women to move beyond trauma, make informed choices, and build a future they believe in.

Together with their families, they gain the tools and support to restore relationships, strengthen community bonds, and spark lasting, generational change.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Is to empower her to heal, change, and care

At Dare to Care positive youth development begins with a choice. Allowing a young woman to change the narrative of how she perceives herself and how people view her, will provide her with a voice to express deep rooted truths as it relates to her personal traumas and her present state. Dare to Care fosters an environment where young women can heal with others, create meaningful relationships, and work together through similar challenges.

Change begins with a choice

True change provides a lifetime of hope in a young woman’s life. Transgenerational
trauma is significant among young women during their development period because
young women are more prone to have an emotional reaction to trauma, causing greater
impact on herself, family lineage and her community. Dare to Care equips her through
the negative effects of generational trauma and poor choices, empowering her to heal,
change, and care.

the process of change in a young woman’s life. A young woman and her family are
encouraged and educated to implement best practices that will help them create
positivity between them. Each young woman will be effective in change as she works
alongside mentors and facilitators that will encourage her through her hidden abilities.
